Piloting started on Saturday September 21st 2013. The objective of piloting was to collect user experiences to exploit them in system finalization. The site teams plan was not to provide any specific guidance for the pilot team members. The need is to verify how easy or complicated the system is to use because in the end there will not be possibilities to provide comprehensive guidance to end-users before the system deployment. Pilot users had rights to view all the content but to update only own family table and profile.
Functionality of the site is about the same than originally planned. Some features are missing because of lack of funding but it is not a problem. From U.S. relative’s point of view a challenge may be some missing translations. Hopefully U.S. relatives are still able to get the understanding of functionality and planned content in order to provide feedback to the site team.
